  • Do I need a specific skill to move on in my life? how can I learn it? who do I know that has it? are there resources I can use?

  • Do I want to be happier? what does it mean for me, in my life now? can I find out from others how to "DO" it?

  • Do I want to be more motivated? how can I create the emotional, physical or intellectual energy that I need?

  • Do I want better communication skills? which of these can I focus on and be a bit better at now?

Understand what Being You means

We usually ask "Who am I" when bumping up against an issue in our life, perhaps not for the first time. Some cultures and philosophies have this question as a part of a spiritual and emotional journey, yet in the "West" this deeper part of being alive is almost ignored, unless you seek it out.

Being You by being sincere

Self awareness is the beginning of a healthy relationship with yourself - being aligned with your values and comfortable in your own skin - at peace, calm.

Being able to recognize (and accept) your own thoughts and feelings can allow you to become a more genuine person, which can then help you be more sincere when you're dealing with others.

Sincerity identifies strength in communication and interaction with others, but it ultimately begins with yourself.

Take time to do some self reflection

  • think about your strengths and weaknesses and be aware of them when you are interacting with other people

  • make a list of your values

When you live in line with your values, you are more likely to live a genuine and sincere life.

Positive Thinking Strategies

A positive mindset has been a phrase for many years - can you benefit from positive thinking strategies that will help in Being You?

This is where your personal responsibility comes in - your results in a personal coaching experience will benefit from recognising that your "self talk" can be one of two choices:

  • positive, where you take ownership, accountability and responsibility for your emotions

Or

  • if you're not taking responsibility you probably unwittingly are in denial or have well rehearsed reasons, often out of habit - and you will be feeling one or more negative emotions.

To get into a positive state ask yourself

  • What outcome do I want?

Or

  • What action can I take? and plan to skill up for?

And

  • Where can I source the resources I need? Who can I ask for help or advice?

CASE STUDY

Georgina had to change jobs when the organisaiton downsized - she was upset and lost confidence, not unusual in these circumstances. She bought at under £10 my Ebook and as she worked out her values and realised she wanted to conserve emotional energy by learning how to establish her boundaries, she booked a Free introductory call. We worked out what suited her time and budget-wise.

NLP/NEURO LINGUISTIC PROGRAMMING techniques were the key to more confidence before and during interviews. After a couple of sessions and "homework"/practice, we left it for a couple of months and revisited when she had completed the induction and got to know her new team.

NLP coaching quickly gives you the skills to make lasting changes you want to behaviour, beliefs and habits from the inside.

When you are watching your budget it can seem counter-productive to spend on something that you cannot "see".
