Feeling Exhausted? It's Time to Set Boundaries (and Be Kind to Yourself!)

Feeling burnt out? You're not alone. Many of us over 50 experience exhaustion and burnout at some point.

But here's the good news: even small changes can make a big difference

The key is balance

While your mind might be pushing for more productivity, your body needs rest and restoration.

Setting boundaries isn't selfish - it's essential for long-term success.

HOW TO GET STARTED:

Identify Your Boundaries:

  • What activities leave you feeling drained? Is it working late, constant family or responsibilities, or taking on too much at work?

  • Communicate Assertively:

Practice saying "no" with confidence and respect.

Work Through Your "No's":

Sometimes, setting boundaries brings up guilt or discomfort

Explore those feelings and develop strategies to manage them.

Change takes time.

  • Remember self-compassion - be kind to yourself throughout the process (and always for good mental health!)
