DIY Life Coaching video: Mindfulness for Everyday Resilience

Mindfulness practices promote a sense of awareness and acceptance, enhancing your ability to navigate challenging situations with greater ease and resilience.

Integrate mindfulness practices into your daily routine, such as mindful walking, eating, or working, to maintain a sense of presence and calm amidst life's challenges.

MINDFULNESS means being fully aware of what you are experiencing right now—your thoughts, feelings, body sensations, and surroundings—without judging them as good or bad

There are three main components:

Present-moment awareness – focusing on what is happening right now rather than the past or future.

Intentional attention – deliberately directing your attention to your experience.

Non-judgmental acceptance – noticing thoughts and feelings without criticizing or trying to suppress them.

Mindfulness for Everyday Resilience

TRANSCRIPT:

So, practical NLP techniques for everyday resilience. This one's really helpful, mindfulness practices.

you've heard of mindfulness, and it all sounds as if it's something special.

But really, it's just being in the activity that you're doing in a way that's supportive and calming.

So walking is good, 'cause you've got that rhythmic thing.

Eating can be mindful. Just be aware of the taste sensations. of how much you're enjoying what you're eating.

We've had all these everyday things cluttered up by marketing people making it something it has to be instead of just enjoying a normal human activity.

It helps you keep calm amidst daily stressors.

And if you think about it, that's why in Britain, you know, have a cup of tea, in all sorts of different situations.

It's a rhythm that you can actually feel grounded by and reflective, whether you're with others or on your own.

So it's awareness and acceptance of yourself, the needs that you have in that particular moment, and honouring those needs.

You can really focus on yourself. It's okay.

If you need to relax or you need to be calm, this is how you can do it.

And then, once you've got your heart rate down and your nervous system calmed, you can decide when you're going to deal with something.

Keep yourself in control.
